Irresistible Mozzarella Cheese Sticks


 


Ingredients:

  • 12 mozzarella sticks
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs (beaten)
  • 2 cups Italian-style breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Vegetable oil (for frying)


Instructions:

Place flour in one bowl, beaten eggs in another, and breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder, onion powder, and oregano in a third.

Dip each mozzarella stick in flour, then eggs, then breadcrumbs. Repeat egg and breadcrumb coating for extra crunch.

Freeze coated sticks for at least 1 hour to firm up.

Heat oil in a pan to 350°F (175°C). Fry sticks in batches until golden brown, about 1-2 minutes.

Drain on paper towels and serve warm with marinara sauce.

Notes:

Double-coating and freezing helps prevent cheese from leaking during frying.
